Sunday 2th August – 11th in Pentecost1. Mount Tabor (mount of Transfiguration)
10.45am All Age Communion

Matthew 15.(10-20),21-28
  • The disciples try to stop a Canaanite woman who asks Jesus to heal her daughter.
  • The woman pleads her case, saying, ’Even dogs eat the crumbs from their master’s table’.
  • Jesus commends the woman’s faith and says her daughter is healed.

This week we focus on how God’s ‘Holy Mountain’ (an oft used symbol of how things are meant to be) is a place for ‘all peoples’… a powerful reminder of how important is the radical inclusiveness of way of Christ – in a week when there has been international anguish about acts of hatred and racism.

The service is led by the Rector, Revd Steve Butler.
