When and why we transform our space

We change our worship space significantly at the start of each new church season, normally after the last Sunday service of the previous season. Anyone who wishes to join in is welcome to do so and we see this as a continuing part of our worship. There are three interconnected strands in the way we transform and recreate our worship space:

  1. Creating a visual impact of wonder, drawing on the emotional effect of transformation of colour, light and symbol;
  2. Visually drawing attention to the continual change, transformation and growth that is living;
  3. Building the physical ‘priesthood of all believers’, through active participation of our congregation in the creation of the worship space and worship itself.
